Journal 15: Earth’s Future, It’s in Our Hands

I had the chance to spend the time of my life at New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji for the past 12 weeks. It was an incredible time where I got to experience so many things by hiking, kayaking, and exploring in general. However, it is these experiences that makes me think about the Earth’s future, and how if we don’t preserve it, we will not be able to enjoy it anymore. All these years, we took, and we took, and we took, never giving back to Earth for all of its generosity it has given us so that we could survive and thrive. But it is time that this all changes. One small act like planting a tree might not change anything in a large scale. However, that one small act can influence others to also take the same act, and in time, it can impact the whole Earth.
